Playground Proms was developed by renowned performers and music educators, Graffiti Classics, during the COVID-19 restrictions. It was launched in collaboration with Cumbria Music Hub with great success in May 2021, supported by a grant from Arts Council England. ​In March 2022, Graffiti Classics formed the dedicated Playground Proms charity (registered in England and Wales No 1198476) to enable a wider range of funding opportunities and reinforce its educational and charitable aims.
​The 2026 project will take music to 180 schools across fifteen regions as well as fifteen care homes. Fundraising efforts are ongoing but we are grateful to have received funding for this project from the Hadfield Trust, the Wise Music Foundation, the Concertina Charitable Trust and the Hedley Foundation so far.
​We are keen to form new partnerships with like-minded organisations around the country with a view to eventually making Playground Proms available to everyone.​
Music hubs and services
We are delighted to have developed partnerships with music hubs and others throughout the country and welcome news enquiries for future projects.
Barnet Education Arts Trust
BEAT provides a wide range of music opportunities. Lessons are available on an extensive choice of instruments and can take place in schools or at one of our three music academies, bringing the heart into music education.

Cambridgeshire Music
Cambridgeshire Music coordinates provision of music education and arts therapies. They make high quality music happen all across Cambridgeshire for young people and families – both in and out of school and organises thousands of music lessons, bands and projects in all styles of music, as well as arts therapies for all ages. They also work in partnership with hundreds of professional musicians and organisations and facilitate the work of the Music Education Hub for the county on behalf of the Local Authority and Hub Partners.

Croydon Music & Arts
Croydon Music & Arts work as part of a network of local partners that include Croydon’s schools, cultural organisations and services for children and young people. CMA is a Lead Delivery Partner for Southwest London Music (SWLM), the Hub Lead Organisation for delivering the National Plan for Music Education in SW London.
Cumbria Music Hub
Cumbria Music Hub brings together organisations across Cumbria to deliver the best music education for children and young people. They all work together to create joined up, high-quality music education in and out of school, getting the most from government funding for music education for young people.
Derbyshire Music Hub
Derbyshire Music Hub is a collaboration between local and regional music organisations, led by the Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership and aims to increase music opportunities for all children and young people, regardless of background by striving for high-quality music education in the region and creating joined-up, high quality music education in and out of school.
Essex Music Service
Essex Music Hub is a partnership of organisations which support and provide access to high quality music making for young people across Essex. These organisations share what they do, communicate with each other and are committed to the highest quality of music education for children and young people. Our partnership serves to create the very best opportunities for children and young people to get involved in music making.

Hounslow Music Service
The London Borough of Hounslow’s Music Service was established in 1980 to provide instrumental lessons for the borough’s young people. The service has a team of more than 70 professional music tutors who teach more than 12,000 pupils in Hounslow schools. It runs a structured, progressive programme of bands, orchestras and choirs for pupils outside school and a Saturday Music School for more advanced pupils. They manage and maintain more than 8000 instruments to help ensure pupils have access to an instrument, and have a well-stocked music library.
Inspiring music
Inspiring Music is the music service for Central Bedfordshire Council and is the lead partner of the music education hub. Inspiring Music empowers young people and communities in Central Bedfordshire to fulfil their musical aspirations. Working with our partners, we offer equitable, inclusive and diverse opportunities that enrich lives and nurture a lifelong love of music.

Lancashire Music Hub
Lancashire Music Hub is a network of people and organisations, working together to champion music education and make sure that all children and young people in the County get access to music making and learning that’s right for them. It is led by Lancashire Music Service, the County Councils music education service working with core partners More Music, a leading community music organisation based in Morecambe, and Charanga, award-winning developers of online music education resources.
Leicestershire Music Hub
An inspirational Music Education Hub empowering all children and young people to realise their musical potential and pursue their individual progression pathway. Leicestershire Music will advocate for music education at every level to improve outcomes for children and young people across the City and County.
Lincolnshire Music Hub
The award-winning Lincolnshire Music Service provides music opportunities for children and young people. This outstanding service is the lead organisation of the Lincolnshire Music Education Hub funded by Arts Council England.
Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub
Norfolk Music Hub is a partnership of organisations and schools which engage with Norfolk’s children and young people in music making. These organisations share what they do, communicate with each other and are committed to the highest quality of music education for children and young people. Its partnership serves to create the very best opportunities for children and young people to get involved in music making.
North East Lincs Music Hub

Y Music

The music hub for North Yorkshire and York was set up in early 2012 and works in partnership with local and national arts programmes and organisations.

It's objective is to deliver the government's commitment by improving the quality of local music services and our performance is monitored by Arts Council England.
