Information for schools

We invite enquiries from music hubs and schools (particularly primary and SEND schools) who would be interested in collaborating with us. In academic year 2025 - 26 we are working with 180 schools across fifteen regions.

Our programme for schools follows a carefully structured, immersive journey:

1. Teacher CPD
We provide online CPD for teachers, introducing repertoire, engagement strategies, movement work and the new Playground Prom anthem by Kit Massey. Each music hub also hosts a twilight in-person Dalcroze session, giving teachers tools they can use long after the project has ended.

2. In-school Dalcroze Workshops
One of our practitioners will visit and work with your whole school to sing the Playground Prom Anthem and share new lyrics. In addition they will lead a movement-led session for up to 60 pupils, building expression, listening and confidence. The children will also be introduced
to some of the music that will be performed at the Prom.

3. The Playground Prom workshop

Graffiti Classics visits your school for an hour-long high-energy performance, including works from the BBC’s ’Ten Pieces’. Children take part through movement, call-and-response and singing the anthem lyrics they co-created.

4. We may work with you to arrange for your children to visit a local care home to perform the anthem alongside Graffiti Classics and to share their work. If schools have an existing relationship with a home we will be delighted to build on that link. Graffiti Classics may also arrange community pop-up concerts in the local area to give families and residents relaxed access to live classical music. Both will be dependent on the circumstances of the particular region.

5. Legacy and Progression
Your school will receive digital resources and activities for use going forward. Your local music hub will also offer progression routes such as instrument tasters, choirs and ensembles.
